Our friendly competition is back! I'm preparing to compete against the boys. I'm better in all the 3 phases than the boys, Thor & Boomer. They think that since they are stronger than me they can beat me, they could not be more wrong. I will get better scores than there's, you'll see. Come back and see my progress.

I've been busy training this summer, tracking, obedience and protection. Preparing for the trial season coming up. I will be ready for trial season. My trainer will also be ready, she's been working very hard with all 3 of us, to prepare us for the upcoming trials.

Well summer is here as far as I'm concerned. Is hot and getting hotter. Can't sleep the morning anymore, have to train early, guess I'll just sleep in the heat of the day, it doesn't matter as long as I can get my beauty sleep.

Here are some photos of my latest training, dumbell retrieve, I'm pretty good at it, if I may say so, pretty good !!! I also get to play after training and is a lot of fun too !!!

Here are some photos of my training program, is a secret so I can't tell you what it is, just know that I'm working my trainer to the bone ! We will be ready for our trial. We're coming along well. Don't worry we are also having fun training and do get some play time in there too !

Just know that no boys are going to out do me at anything !!!

Sammy is preparing for her Schutzhund titles. At this time is so hot where she trains, that she must train early in the morning or at night. So at this time she's working on tracking and a few little details to achieve a high score, at her trial.

Sammy and Thor have a friendly competition going on, who ever beats the other's scores gets the new dog bed !!!

Preparing for my Schutzhund Titles

I am working very diligently for my schutzhund titles. If I may say so myself I am pretty good at tracking, better than Thor even, almost better than Tygger, but she's had a lot more experience than I. Obedience is a bit boring, so we mix it up a bit and my handler makes it fun for me to do. Now protection, I like that the best, I get to bite a sleeve and if I hold on tight the helper spins me around, I like that very much. I don't like going around the blinds, it's boring and it keeps me from the helper, but if I don't do it, I don't get to bite the sleeve and get my spin so, I have to get over it and just do it. Thor better watch out, I could beat him at the trial scores, boy would that be something to shoot for !!!

I am preparing for my first schutzhund trial, and all I can say is Thor watch out cause here I come !!!

Tracking is fun for me, I take my time and find everything, no rush for me is take your time to find and follow my track. I know articles and right now they are being introduced to my track, I love articles, I get lots of treats when I find and down on them, fun, fun, fun.

In Obedience, I have learned retrieve on flat, jump and wall with a dumbbell too. At this time I'm practicing the send out is a lot of fun too. Also I'm learning the more advanced moving exercises. The heeling pattern with attention is coming along nicely and I put on a very nice show to watch.

In protection I'm coming along very nicely too. Hold and bark, good, escape love to practice the escape and the drive, no way, no how, I'm letting go of a perfectly good sleeve and the attack out of motion, love it !!!

Anyway, I'm getting ready for the next trial, I'll be competing along side Thor and soon Boomer will join us this adventure too.

Schutzhund Protection Seminar

I went to a seminar with my handler and Carl was the helper. He is a very nice guy. He lets me chase him down and bite on the sleeve he has on his left arm.

Learned to pay attention before I can bite the sleeve and bite as hard as I can. Got to go around blinds and run as fas as I can to get the the second blind and bark at the helper in the blind, had a great time. I'm preparing for my Schutzhund I trial, but is a bit away, because I have a lot to learn. Have to learn to track on dirt (dirty dirt) and grass, I like grass better, but I like the food, my handler places on the foot steps so I track on dirty dirt. Obedience is coming along I have to heel and retrieve and bring a dumbell back to my handler, but I like to release fast so that I can play the retrieve game too. Protection is the most fun of all I can bite a sleeve and no one gets mad at me for doing it. So I can be as mean as I want to, I can look pretty mean, but hey I have a lot of fun.

I the prettiest and cuttest boxer, have earned my BH ! ! ! so now you may address me as Sammy BH. I will start working on my Schutzhund 1 after a small but well deserved vacation.

Is going to be hard work, but I am a very tough and smart girl, and I don't give up. So I will work hard for the title of Schutzhund 1. Nothing worth having is ever easy. See ya at the field ! ! !

Don't know if you have noticed but it's all a male dog world everywhere. We bitches get no respect. But I am not upset about this, I am after all Sammy, the cutest, prettiest, fearless boxer bitch in my pack. I am called Sammy, the fearless, by my handlers, yes I have 2 handlers, I'm just too much for one person ! ! !

My training is at this time preparing my handler and I for a BH. I'm a bit bored by obedience, but is a requirement, for the trials. I learn pretty fast and get bored even quicker. But my handlers make it interesting. There is one thing and they both know it by now, boy some people take forever to learn something, I like to play before, during and after my training, that's it, that my click.

In tracking, I'm now learning articles and turns, and boy do I find them even in these terrible winds we are having. If I get lost a bit, I know how to go back and find my way again, is fun there's food out there and I find and get to eat it too ! ! !

But I like protection the most, like to come around that blind and find the decoy, trying not to look at me even though I smell his fear. Is not that he fears me, he just does not know how we boxers behave, he has not been a helper to any boxers before us, so he is afraid of the unexpected. That's ok, he's learning what to expect from us, we are different than gsd and malinuts, we are not shepherds, boxers are hunters and don't you forget it, cause we have not.

First Time We Met Sammy

When we first got Sammy, she was soo tiny, her legs were so small and she was soo cute. She has grown to be a very nice girl. She is learning Schutzhund, and once she gets her titles she will give Agility and other Performance Sports a try. Her father has his Schutzhund titles and a few Agility Titles.

Sammy's dad is Caramba von Rosa de Tekoneva SchH3, NA, NAJ. Rambo as he is called by his friends is from German working lines.

Sammy's mom is Cenza von Kucura Berg, BH, CGC. Cenza is from European working and show lines.
